The HTC Evo 4G (trademarked in capitals as EVO 4G) is a smartphone developed by the HTC Corporation that was previously known by its codename "Supersonic".[5] The smartphone launched June 4, 2010.[6][7] It is the first 4G capable phone sold in the United States.[8] It became the top-selling launch day phone on Sprint, surpassing the Palm Pre.[9]
It is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and runs the Android operating system, version 2.1. It includes a TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen screen, an 8-megapixel camera, which can record 720p video in the rear, a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front, a kickstand for media viewing, and an HDMI port to connect to an HDTV. It is capped to 30fps so it is less smooth than a Nexus One[10]. The HTC Sense user interface is also included
