Mr Heeman spent 11 years and tens of thousands of pounds perfectingthe design. In the process he has educated himself in the art of laminating fibreglass and modifying car engines. He also had to learn basic aeronautics to be able to fly it. The machine has certainly caught the attention of passers-by at the stretch of water where he has been testing it near his home in Nelson, New Zealand. Go the Kiwis!!!!
