South Padres Island, Texas (Spring Break)

This 34 mile stretch of white sand beaches is bordered to the east by the Gulf of Mexico and to the west by the Laguna Madre bay. During the month of March this island comes alive as College Students from throughout the US and Canada fly and drive to South Texas for a week of Sun, Beaches and a little bit of fun. From sunrise to sunset, the Island is the perfect playground for sailing, fishing, windsurfing, dolphin watching, horseback riding, shopping and golf, just to mention a few. As the day winds down with spectacular sunsets over the bay, the evenings come alive with dancing and music at the popular nightclubs including Chaos, Club 202, Club Salsas and Parrot Eyes. You can spice up your vacation with a short drive over the border to Matamoros Mexico. Matamoros possesses several unique tourist attractions, all full of history and beauty.
